FRACTAL ALLIANCES #2 - 1962

A four-panel, one-page comic in sepia tones featuring glowing light blue HOLOtech. In the first panel, a tired character with orange streaks in the hair and a battered flight suit has their hand on their forehead. They sigh. In the second panel, the character (Ev) waves a hand through one of the blue holographic screens and looks upward. They say, their voice wobbly and tired, "Could you all at least TRY not to make my life a living hell?" In the third panel there are three figures, all in white full-face masks. The one on the left has purple, magical, waving hair and is scowling down at Ev with crossed arms. He stands behind a throne-like seat, in which sits the second figure: a grinning red-haired figure in a hood, who is leaning on the banister in front of him. He laughs ("Ha."). On the other side of the throne, a woman with curled-back horns and green-blue-purple cornrows grins sadistically with her chin atop folded hands. In the fourth panel, the middle masked figured laughed says, "Absolutely not" in a cheerful tone. Ev is depicted at the bottom of a zone called "the pit," which is located below the raised, grand seating of the Aetherian Imperial Council, which is arranged in a semi-circle looking down at Ev's desk - and the second vacant, shadowed one barely in-frame (this belonged to their SIC, Talis Errison, who... is no longer present).
