FRACTAL ALLIANCES #1 (1906 E-10)

A sepia-toned comic page with three panels. The first is a wide shot of a cloud-covered, otherworldly air base with a supply barge in central focus. In the second panel, a figure standing in front of the barge is greeted by their SIC, who says "There you are! Thought you might've made a run for it!" (This character has teal hair and is climbing onto the barge ramp from the skyboat.) The darkened figured is thinking, "I wish!" In the third panel, the previously shadowed figure crosses their arms and says, "This a sorry excuse for an IMPERIAL WARSHIP, Errison." (This character has orange streaks in their hair, a sharp nose, and prominent cheekbones.)

A four-panel page that follows the first. In the first panel Errison (the teal-haired man) walks up to the orange-haired characte with a funny look on his face. "Warship?" he says. "Gods no." The second panel shows an aerial shot of the barge as Errison continues to speak. (It is a large, galleon-sized barge. "This is the supply barge we're taking TO the warship." In panel three Ev (the orange-haired character) frowns and seems skeptical. "Supply BARGE?" they say incredulously, having next seen a voidship any larger. "How big is the warship?" The fourth panels cuts to the sky beyond the barge, were a massive, Star-Destroyer-size ship with a triangular silhouette is drifting through the parting clouds. Errison points to it and says, "See for yourself!" Ev jumps in shock and shouts, "WHAT?!" End comic.
