MEET THE CAST
Meet the main cast of Fractal Alliances!
Above are pictured eight of Fractal Alliances' focal characters. Not all eight feature prominently throughout the series, several are only the main character of one or two story arcs, but they are some of the most commonly recurring characters.
Thelia Sparkes — she/her, approx. 5'4", Queen-President of North Enzia from the 1950s onward. Born in 1918 E-10, Thelia is one of the youngest cast members. She enters the story as a young revolutionary, and is later supported by several other main cast members. She is witty, hopeful, and typically very level-headed, although she does have a temper. She was taught to serve, then to fight from a young age, but prefers diplomacy and politics to war.

Evansen Stark — they/he, approx. 5'9", better known as Emperor Razienne I (they/them) of the New Empire of Aetheria from 1906 E-10 onward. Ev is the only cast member depicted that is not from Tartarus. They aren't from Aetheria either, as readers quickly learn, and don't easily mesh with their new world or responsibilities. They are sarcastic, curious, and well-rounded (perhaps too much so to be an unquestioning puppet ruler). They are an exceptional fighter and knowledge-keeper, both of which get them in trouble often. They have a heart bigger than it perhaps should be, and try to save everyone (since they can't save themselves).

Finlay Heran — he/him, approx. 5'11", Arv'hein of Talki from 1906 E-10 onward. Fin Heran is known for his temper, his misfortune, and his regrettably just leadership skills. He did not want to take his mother's crown, but adapts well in the years after her abdication. He has powerful emotions, a quick mind, and a stubborn will. He is also an exceptional fighter, and his reluctance to hold power makes him a just leader and advocate for reform. Often unbalanced, he seeks comfort from his friends, to whom he is undyingly loyal.

Shiren'x Paloran — he/him, approx. 5'6", becomes the acting leader of Envari in 1952 E-10. Shire was raised on the battlefield of politics and social differences, and wears too many masks to count. He clung to his mother after the death of his father, and her influence supersedes all else. He hates being in charge, but craves power and is desperate to be worthy of it. He is curious, brash, and unassuming.

Alkaline Aviligne — he/him, approx. 6'11", co-ruler (King) of Mercisha. Al comes from two families: one powerful, ancient, and cruelm and one that hails from nothing. He and his twin sister are bastard children who were given the split crown by a mother who regretted them, and he makes sure no one ever forgets it. Strong, confident, and desperate to create change. Always advocates for ethics and truth, and isn't afraid to get his hands dirty. Has always been a socialite, and navigates politics with grace. Bubbly, quick-witted, and impulsive, but exceptionally smart.

Ameria Aviligne — she/her, approx. 6'11", co-ruler (Queen) of Mercisha. Shares her twin brother's drive for change and advocacy, but is more efficient about making it happen. While Al advocates for change and justice, Ameria makes it happen. She lets him keep the spotlight, and uses his witting distraction to do her work. Stoic, but kind and intelligent.

Hirosea Chirrell — he/him, approx. 7', becomes Overseer of Trivaal in 1926 after being a military officer, the provincial Commandant, and a humanitarian aid officer. Hiro loves people, his family, and plants. He has a giant heart and is loyal to a fault, but can be brutally honest and is not afraid to call out wrongdoings or missteps. Has a well-rounded education and resume, is an exceptional diplomat, and has a keen eye for spotting the good in so-called "bad apples." Smart, sneaky, curious, and benevolently bright. Gives the best hugs.

Aviera Lance — she/her, approx. 7'5", trial-proven Queen of Alcairo from 1903 onwards. Raised by a community of royal women, warriors, and servants, Aviera Lance is a confident, learned leader who won her right to the crown. She has made friends of gods, punched evil in the face, and can and will do both again. She was raised to know her history as one born of Shade and Tartarun descent, and sees the state of the multiverse for what it is. Like Hirosea and Ev, she perhaps knows more than she should—and certainly more than some give her credit for.
Other key characters in Fractal Alliances include: Cole and Reina Hackerie, Councilmen Shas and Deis, the Godhunter, Loresia Gareway, Asmarin Flynt, Rose veaBlanche, Arei, Cora, and Jicorah velKetter, Serra Tyrannis, Syne and Viridian Heran, Herei Lordé, Corrin Merrinack, and Talis Errison.
